Camp Coup D’etat

June 25, 2018 - June 29, 2018 | Ages 13-18

Sponsored by Gannon University’s School of Public Service & Global Affairs, Camp Coup D’etat will immerse campers in a role-playing exercise where they will engineer an attempted coup against a corrupt dictator. Taking on the role of coup plotters, regime backers, journalists, lawyers, mercenaries, and political leaders, campers will be engrossed in a week-long “Choose Your Own Adventure” game of politics, global affairs, and international law. Best of all, the outcome is dependent upon their choices. Camp Coup D’etat culminates in a trial in which the participants decide the fate. Will democracy or dictatorship prevail?
