Near-Space Exploration

June 25, 2018 - June 29, 2018 | Grades 11 - 12

Want to learn ways to explore near space via high-altitude balloon flight? This camp provides an intensive engineering laboratory experience for live video streaming from an airborne balloon. Camp participants will learn basic computer skills working with a single-board computer, the Raspberry Pi, integrating small cameras to build video streaming payloads. Campers will conduct a tethered balloon launch with a 1200g balloon while simultaneously video streaming to a ground station and website from the payload they built. Each participant will take a Raspberry Pi home to continue their exploration. Space is limited so apply today.
